Delete your account
Applies to the Android app Parley — Trade & Collect, published by Parley. Contact: hello@parleytrade.com.
Delete it in the app — takes about ten seconds
You do not need to email us, and you do not need to wait for anyone. From inside the app:
- Open Parley and sign in.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
If you cannot get into the app
Email hello@parleytrade.com from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will delete it and confirm to you. If you cannot get into the email address either, write to us and tell us what you can — we would rather resolve it with you than leave an account you do not want.
What is deleted
- Your account itself — the email address and password you signed up with.
- Your profile — display name and profile short code.
- Your collection and your wishlist — every card you listed as available or wanted.
- Your pending trade proposals and any live offers.
- Your ratings, both the ones you gave and the ones you received.
- Your message threads on your trades.
- Your push notification token, so nothing is sent to your device again.
What is kept, and why
Completed trades are kept, with your identity removed. When a trade is finished, the other person has a record of it too — their history and reputation are built from it. Deleting your account removes everything that identifies you (your name, your email, your profile) and leaves behind an anonymised record that a trade took place between two accounts, with the party that was you no longer linked to any person.
Nothing else is retained, and nothing is kept for marketing. The anonymised completed-trade record has no retention limit, because removing it later would silently change the other person's record of trades they actually did. Everything listed under "What is deleted" above is gone at the moment you confirm.
What about data held by other services?
Product-usage analytics and crash reports are held by PostHog and Sentry on their own schedules and are not used to identify you; you can also switch usage data off in the app at Settings → Share usage data at any time, without deleting your account. Card catalogue data comes from Scryfall and never contained your account. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
